We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between SEA WAVES and Project HEAL. Through this collaboration, Project HEAL has recognized the military community as a marginalized group when it comes to accessing treatment for eating disorders. This partnership brings an unprecedented opportunity for service members, veterans, and their families by providing free, virtual, clinical assessments for those who believe they might have an eating disorder.
This initiative is a critical step forward, especially since the military medical system does not currently offer these types of screenings. Now, individuals within our military community can access these assessments and share the results with their Primary Care Manager (PCM) for further support.
While we are still ironing out the details of this new partnership, we are committed to ensuring that this initiative is effectively implemented. We ask for your patience as we roll out this essential service, which we believe will be a game-changer for the health and well-being of our military members and their families.
